Hola!

 

I am a Spanish native speaker with a passion for languages and cultures. I have been teaching for over 17 years, and I hold a Spanish degree from the University of California San Bernardino. I have extensive experience working  with students of all ages from kindergarten to high school, including adults. I believe in creating an immersive, engaging classroom environment that encourages students to explore the beauty of the Spanish language and the diverse cultures of the Spanish speaking world.

 

Throughout my teaching career, I have integrated a variety of educational tools such as: music, interactive games, and literature to help students develop strong communication skills in Spanish. I am passionate about developing and fostering a love of learning and curiosity in my students, and helping them build confidence in their language abilities.

 

Since learning Spanish is an accumulative process, my preferred teaching style is to encourage students to participate as much as possible during Spanish time by playing games, learning songs, listening to stories, using basic vocabulary in conversations, repeating phrases and keywords, and interacting with each other. 

It is my commitment to help my students develop a cultural awareness and understanding of other cultures and other global communities, and help them develop a better understanding of the world we live in.

In addition to teaching, I like to travel and meet people from other cultures, which has allowed me to bring real-world language experiences to the classroom. I am committed to helping each student succeed, and to inspire them to become global citizens through the study of the Spanish language and their different cultures.
