Hello!
I’m honored to serve as the IB Programme Coordinator at Loomis Basin Charter School. I began my teaching career in 1997 and joined the incredible LBCS community in 2011. Over the years, I’ve taught Kindergarten, 1st, 4th, and 5th grades, as well as MYP Design. I now have the joy of supporting both the PYP and MYP programs schoolwide.
I hold a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and Early Childhood Development, along with a Master of Science in Education with a focus on Reading and Literacy. I’ve had the privilege of teaching students across a wide range of ages—and I truly enjoy them all!
Originally from the Great Lakes state of Michigan, I moved to California after college and now live in Folsom with my husband and our sweet puppy. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with family, watching movies, listening to music, cooking, and curling up with a good book.
Teaching has been my passion for as long as I can remember. My own experiences as a student showed me the powerful impact that a caring adult can have on a child’s life. Beyond academic growth and skill-building, my deepest hope is that every student I work with leaves school feeling valued and loved. I’m grateful for the opportunity to help nurture that culture throughout our school community.
