Welcome to Kindergarten!

My name is Christy D'Ambrosio (Ms. D) and I am so excited
to be a part of Loomis Basin Charter School. This will be my 17th year here at LBCS
and my 22nd year teaching. I have taught preschool, 2nd grade, 1st grade, and my personal favorite, Kindergarten. I was born and raised in the Bay Area, and then relocated to the Granite Bay/Roseville area when I was 15 years old.  After completing college and working in the business world for a while, I realized I needed to be
where my heart's desire was, with children! Shortly after completing the Teaching
Credential Program, I became a mom, the greatest joy of my life. My children (Ricky-26 and Caitie-25) are now out on their own and both are engaged.  My family and I enjoy traveling, boating, skiing, swimming, reading and learning!

I feel it is a privilege to be an educator. One of the greatest joys in life is to watch a child grow and learn. I strive to provide a safe and loving environment, set the bar high, instill a love for learning, and to create challenging yet fun classroom experiences. I am excited to meet and get to know your children, and look forward to getting to know you, working with you, and celebrating your child's growth.
